Short and sweet

Holy wow. I went over a week without blogging. How does that even happen? If it makes you feel any better, I thought about blogging, numerous times, but I just ... didn't. I'm frustrated with myself for once again neglecting the website that I pay $7 a year to have.

What have you been up to in the last past 10 days since we last spoke? I'm exhausted going into this 3-day holiday weekend, so that must be saying something.

Here's what has been happening in my little corner of the world:

I celebrated my mother-in-law's birthday.

I made Rainbow Fudge Cookie Bars that were rich, gooey, and the perfect treat for any sweet tooth. I recommend trying them for yourself (hint: They're easy to make) and you can find the recipe here.

I cheered on my mom and sister during the Foam Glow 5k in Indianapolis. My mom let me wear her sunglasses, which are terrible at protecting your eyes on the account that they're made of blinking lights.

Clay and I saw the "Best of the 7th Annual Bloomington Comedy Festival" with Emily and scoped out some of our local comedic talent.

We took Joey on a hike in the woods and I snapped this adorable picture of my boys:

We had a backyard barbecue with Colby, Ireli, and their 3 kiddos.

I participated in a Fellow Flowers virtual marathon relay race and ran in spirit with 3 other women in Bloomington.

I also started training for the upcoming Monumental Half Marathon in November. This will be my 10th half marathon, so yeehaw! The adventure begins again!

I got this ridiculously amazing fox bowl because $1.97 is my price point.

And gosh, that just about sums it up. Looking back, it appears I had myself quite the week.

Hope you have an awesome holiday weekend and hopefully I don't totally ignore you guys for another long stretch of time. I'll just ignore you for a shorter stretch of time.
