Dinner with friends

I could subsist on good conversation; I really good. And there are few people I like conversing with more than my friend, Antonia. We worked together in the advising center and bonded over our love of gender studies, books, cake and Kohl's. I got her hooked on Sour Patch Kids and I'm beyond thrilled that our friendship has continued to thrive even after she left our college for another job opportunity. She's been such a good friend to me and now I can't even imagine my life without her.

Both Clayton and her boyfriend have joked that we should just marry each other.

They're not wrong.

Last night we met at Quaff On Brewery for dinner and dined outside on the patio, basking in the setting summer sun and catching up. She ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I feasted on chicken tacos topped with brussel sprout slaw, corn relish and cilantro sriracha. They were divine. Despite sampling a few different options, I stuck to my original favorite and ordered a pint of their famous Busted Knuckle porter.

After dinner, we walked across the street to the library to pick up some books (are we a match made in heaven or what?). Tonia has a Master's in Library Science, so she knows the Dewey Decimal System and has the whole place practically memorized.

I'm surprised we haven't moved in together.

Have a great weekend!
