Weekend Recap

So the Facebook voting on my blog's name was pretty unanimous. Notably Neurotic it shall stay. And I can't say I'm mad about it. Switching blog names was a heck of a lot of work anyway and let's be honest, I am kind of lazy.

Now I'm wondering if I can get my $1 back from the domain registry company.

"And why exactly do you want us to refund your dollar, ma'am?"

"Because the people have spoken."

I suppose there are worst ways to waste a dollar.

It's actually a relief to have my friends point out that switching blog names would be ridiculous. I appreciate the honesty; I truly do. In fact, the more I thought about my reasoning for changing the name Notably Neurotic, the more I realized it's because I'm just kind of bored. As much as I am a creature of habit, I do like change (to an extent). To me, I thought change meant a huge overhaul of my website when in reality, all I needed to do was change-up the color scheme and add some stars at the top and BAM! I felt better. The itch has been scratched.

How was your weekend? I'll be honest, my weekend was half awesome and half not-so awesome. It was partly awesome because we spent all of Saturday drinking beer and floating down a river in Brookville, Indiana with Dan and Emily, and it was partly not-so awesome because from the time we got home on Saturday evening through today, I've felt incredibly sick. I don't know if it was from the sun, the river water or what, but I feel like a zombie. The entirety of Sunday was spent on the couch battling queasiness and today I'm still so out of it, I can't stand up for long stretches of time. My body is just completely wiped out. I haven't been able to eat since Saturday afternoon and trust me, nothing makes me sadder than losing my appetite.

So yes, to answer your question, I assume I'm dying of some rare river water disease.

Since we were floating in a raft that was likely to tip over at any moment (we saw several canoes hit rough waters and totally capsize!), we elected to keep our cell phones back in the car which meant no pictures, sorry. But  here's a lovely image from Whitewater River's website. I'm pretty sure this picture was taken in the early 90s, and you know what? They're still using those same, grubby life jackets today.

Friday night was excellent, too, because I tried a new recipe (à la Pinterest, of course) for No Bake Reese's Peanut Butter Fudge Bars. If there's one thing you should know about my beloved, it's that he goes absolutely nanners for anything with Reese's peanut butter cups. In the entire 11 years I've known him, he's never ordered anything but a Reese's cup Blizzard from Dairy Queen. Clayton is a creature of habit, and I adore him for it.

The verdict? They're yummers. Totally yummers. But beware! They are incredibly rich!

This recipe definitely gets the Notably Neurotic Seal of Approval (which I just made up).

Eating so many of the fudge bars on Friday night may be the reason why I feel so sick today. Who knows.

Have a great Monday!
