Courtney Confessions

It's been a hot minute since I've dropped some Courtney Confessions on you, but something tells me you've gotten by just fine without them.

1.) Sometimes I feel incredibly overwhelmed by how temporary earthly life is. When I'm least expecting it, I'll come down with a major case of the feels and find myself pumping gas at the gas station and wondering, "What does it all mean?" I feel my priorities changing and what was once so important to me is slowly starting to fall to the wayside. I believe in God and I believe in heaven, but sometimes that's not enough reassurance to get me out of bed in the morning. Can anyone else relate to this or did I just expose myself as a lunatic?

2.) I am incredibly sensitive to noise. Since moving into our house, I've been unable to nap during the day because of lawn mowers and weed eaters (and anyone who knows me knows how much I adore napping). I get irate with Clayton if he crunches ice in his glass. If you're a mouth breather, we probably can't be friends. Anytime someone in our office eats chips or carrots, I have to turn up the music of my computer to drown it out. Extra noise drives me INSANE. I've even yelled at Clayton for just coughing. I think I might have misophonia.

3.) This has sadly become the story of my life:

I've run 8 miles in a snow storm with 4 layers of clothing and a scarf wrapped around my face to protect me from frost bite, but I can count the number of times I've washed my kitchen floor on one hand.

4.) Last, but certainly not least, Clayton and I will be babysitting one of my good friend's puppies this weekend! Brittany's beagle mix was violated whilst hanging out in her yard this spring and well, a few months later, a beautiful litter of puppies was born! Brittany is in the process of finding forever homes for these little angels and since Joey is definitely an only child, I figured I could get my puppy fix by offering to dogsit while Brittany is on vacation. Tomorrow night, this sweet girl will be snuggled within an inch of her life by yours truly. I feel like such a dork, but I've been puppy-proofing our house in preparation for our furry little guest!
