5 things that make Mondays suck slightly less

Happy March! (And if you live anywhere near the Midwest, Happy Snowmaggedon Part III!)

It snowed, it sleeted, it rained—yesterday was one of the most bipolar winter days we've had in a long while. Mother Nature sent just enough ickiness to make driving ever-so-hazardous, but not quite enough to grant the adults a snow day.

As I've told Clayton a zillion times this season: "If I can't have a full-on blizzard that shuts the city down completely, I want nothing at all."

Plus Leonardo DiCaprio didn't win an Oscar last night, so I'm just bummed out in general.

I'm in need of some cheering up if I have a prayer of making it through this week without committing a crime. Every morning that I wake up to temperatures below 30°, I grow a little bit more bitter and depressed. Surely I can't be the only person who feels this way.

So here are 5 things to make your Monday slightly less awful:

1.) The fact that a recipe exists for homemade elephant ears:

If warm weather won't come to me, I'll go to it by channeling summer fair food. You betcha I'm going to make these this week!

2.) Cate Blanchette's Oscars acceptance speech:

" ... and perhaps those of us in the industry who are still foolishly clinging to the idea that female films with women at the center are niche experiences.
They are not. Audiences want to see them and, in fact, they earn money.
The world is round, people."
3.) This golden retriever pup snoozing in a bicycle basket:

4.) Glee's hauntingly goregous rendition of the number one stalker-anthem, "Every Breath You Take":

Every morning I wake up hoping I somehow morphed into Lea Michele while I was asleep.

5.) There's another new episode of Parks and Rec on this week!

What are you looking forward to this week?
