Things that make you go "Awwww!"

Who wants an "Aw!" moment for the day?

No, it's not a picture of a puppy.

Although, I suppose we could always use a good puppy picture.

Here's a puppy picture:

Oh my gosh, that picture is so cute it's giving me heart palpitations.

I even love the word "puppy". Puppy. Puppy. Puppy. Gah! It's adorable!

Anyway, my "aw!" moment of the day comes courtesy of my hubby (which for some of you might actually be a "barf!" moment. But don't pee on my love parade, okay?).

Ever since we renewed our YMCA membership, Clay and I have been workout buddies several days a week. On Tuesday evening, we started our usual workout duet and since my headphones bit the dust several weeks ago, I had no option but to stare in boredom at the TV silently playing the HGTV channel while I peddled on the elliptical. Clayton was stationed on the machine next to me and plugged his fully functioning ear buds into the little digital box that allowed him to pick up sound from another television playing the basketball game.

Several minutes into my workout, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned to see Clayton holding his ear buds out to me, encouraging me to put them on and listen.

"What for?" I asked, taking them from his hand.

"The TV on the far left is playing The Voice and I noticed they're doing a cover of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'," he replied. "I know it's one of your favorite songs, and I thought you'd want to listen to it."

At that moment, my pupils turned into little cartoon hearts.

It was such a small, seemingly insignificant gesture, but it's in those tiny moments in every day life that I'm reminded that I'm married to such a precious man.
