Friday Five

1.) Last night I had a dream that I finally fulfilled my life-long goal to climb the Aggro Crag from Nickelodeon's Guts. I was even rocking the blue uniform. I totally won, too, but that's only because I shoved the purple girl right off the mountain when the "snow" confetti started falling.

I wish that show was still around. I would totally dominate.

Waking up from a really sweet dream only makes getting up that much harder.

2.) I still haven't baked since the end of July and I feel like a neglectful mother. Mixie keeps looking at me with those big ol' brown stand mixer eyes and I feel insanely guilty for ignoring her since closing on the house. Since when have I ever let a busy schedule keep me from making sweets for my sweets? Must remedy this immediately! At least I know for a fact I'll be baking on Monday because I'm the resident Birthday Planner in our office, and I always bring a little something for my co-workers when we have a bday to celebrate! Chanden requested peanut butter cookies with chocolate chips for his 30th and you know that will make for some crazy good cookie dough!

3.) I have exactly one week before my last day in the Human Resources department. I've been so focused on other things this summer that I totally forgot to start getting nervous butterflies about my new gig. While I was never majorly in love with the daily work I was doing as the HR Assistant, it's been the best work environment I've ever had and it's opened some pretty awesome doors for me. It's been over 3 years since the debacle that was my short-lived advertising career and being able to work ANYWHERE for longer than a calendar year is a huge deal for me. I can't wait to get my feet wet in the Advising Center, but leaving this role is definitely bittersweet.

4.) A lot of women tend to be rather envious of fellow females who sport flashy, designer accessories or expensive clothes. Not me. This afternoon I saw an Instagram photo of a friend who was enjoying bottle of Freixenet (my absolute favorite champagne) and I was legitimately green with envy.  I don't particularly care about what clothes you're wearing, but I will be jealous of your alcohol.

5.) I wore a black peplum top to work today and even though this is one of 2 peplum tops I own, I can't decide if I like the style or not. I think they make my waist look too short and kind of gives the illusion that I ate a ballerina's tutu for lunch.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will see you back here on Monday!
