Though I'm incapable of running 26.2 miles at a 5:35 minute per mile pace, I will probably never have big-name sponsors emblazoned across the front race clothes and I will surely never get paid tens of thousands of dollars for crossing the finish first in a major marathon, I am a runner and I am part of the running community. But most importantly I'm a human being and out of reverence and mourning for what transpired at the Boston Marathon yesterday, today I am taking a pause from my typical, inane blog chatter.

The observations of actor/comedian Patton Oswalt strongly resonated with me:

May the Lord bless you and keep you all,

  1. I quoted Patton in my post too. You put into words exactly what I was attempting to say beautifully.
