Signing off (for a hot minute)

Hey, guys. This is a quick post to let you know that I will be majorly MIA from the internet for the next few days. As you may have guessed, I was selected (after 13 hours. Oh my gosh, longest day and a half of my life!) and I am not allowed to look or listen to media reports while I serve as a juror. I know that updating this blog doesn't fall into that category, but I think it's actually the perfect excuse to power down and briefly step away from social media's overwhelming role on my life.

If I have the time and energy in the evening, I might throw something up on here, but I don't know for sure. But I do know that I will make all of this up to you next week with a really cool giveaway, okay?

Clay's and my four-year wedding anniversary is Thursday and there is a good chance I will be in court well into the evening. I am NOT pleased about that. But I didn't dare ask the judge to excuse me so I could be available to make hot, sweaty monkey love with my husband.

Did that last sentence make anyone else super uncomfortable?

Please don't forget about me while I'm gone this week. I am majorly tweeking out about losing readers. But seriously, this isn't my fault! Don't penalize me for fullfilling my civic duty!

My whole life is one, big movie reference.

I'll talk to you soon!

  1. "but kesha is my idol and i watch her youtube videos everyday. i HAVE to go to her concert." (please tell me you watch teen mom lol or else i'm gonna look like an idiot! i made already be an idiot simply because i watch the show religiously ha!)

anyhow, i'm sure the judge would think that your 4th wedding anniversary to make "hot, sweaty monkey love" is more important than a kesha concert. you might have a chance! although, i'm glad that you also have the discernment not to bring it up to legal counsel unlike some people in our world (uh hmm - jenelle).

    1. also i have always wanted to serve on a jury. hopefully you got something super interesting!!

  2. It's okay, Courtney. You won't lose readers. We love you too much.

    Also, happy anniversary! :)

  3. There are actually two people in my office that have been in that jury pool with you for the past few days. One of them was released (and she's pretty much dancing with joy) but the other one got selected to serve, too! Apparently Monroe County is all court-y right now.

Enjoy your sorta-self-imposed internet break. :)

  4. Fun! I'd love to serve on a jury. I hope it's an interesting trial at least!

  5. This is one of the best blog posts ever! I seriously laughed out loud! I hope you get to make "hot, sweaty monkey love"! It wouldn't be an anniversary without it!
